Okay, the official premiere date was April 17, but technically when released in the U.S., in Spain it was 18 April, so it is correct to say that premiered on my birthday.
The series had generated enormous expectations, the truth is that never disappoints. At the moment is 100% true to history, being an almost literal transcription of the book to screen, and the visuals are manicured, with spectacular scenery, a perfect picture and some very well chosen actors.
The only drawbacks that can put you are remedied, the lines of "Illyrio should be more fat" or "in such a scene should have snow." But nothing serious. Well, as I personally am not convinced as Eddard Sean Bean, but that's more a personal issue, because I had not imagined me as well. Which obviously is not fault of the series, because I'm sure everyone has a character they had imagined differently.
And the narrative rhythm is also very good, and the time flew by chapter. So much that we almost saw him again followed by the tug. And I think, although this is conjecture that the series can please, which would have merit, both fans of the saga as people who have not read the books and take the series as reference only. Although this is to guess, since obviously I can not know what impression has been given to those who have not read Game of Thrones.
